Home Improvements

Fear not, we didn’t come home bored and depressed following the UK trip. Cameron launched back into his last week at Capstrat and then, following a week off, started his new job at Rally Software in the downtown Raleigh area.

In the meantime we also started working on some home updates. We hired Woodmaster Woodworks to do some custom built-ins in the living room. As part of the process we also had them add crown molding in a couple rooms and helping us finish off the laundry room floor shoe molding and transition.

Part of the process also involved getting some electrical work done. We had planned to move some outlets around and that didn’t work out but – even better – we got some overhead lights added and they’re really amazing with the built-ins.

A few more purchases to finish things off: a rug and new light fixture for the dining room; new pillows and curtains for the family room. Plus the built-ins are allowing us to finally finish un-packing some of our final boxes – it’s almost like we’re finally gonna get moved in here!

IMG_1686Really happy with the finished product and hoping to maybe do an “open house” so friends and family can come by and see the place. We’ll keep you posted!

Fall Fun

It’s been a crazy fall and I can’t believe it’s almost November already! We’ve been very busy: moving, redoing floors, selling houses, Oktoberfest, conferences. My brother Bobby recently got engaged to a lovely lady, Nicole – congrats guys! And we miss Greg and Erika up in Boston but we still get to see Mike, Bea, and the nephews, most recently for the Canes opening night.

Lots still to come this year!
